Deserted creek002

These are duck hunters boats moored up a little creek called the Pow of Errol. Called Port Allen, it used to be a significant harbour from the 17th to the 18th century with a pier from which a ferry ran across the Tay to Lindores Pow in Fife. Its significance waned by the start of the 19th century and a decaying pier wall and a mud-choked creek is all that remains.
