A rig docked in Dundee for repair, unusually, was jacked up to the full extent of its legs. This made it appear to be emerging from the hidden Tay, ascending the intervening hill and invading this pastoral autumn scene, like one of HG Wells' Martian tripod machines.
Location: near Newport-on-Tay, Fife.
