I'm a huge fan of Andy Scott's art, culminating in the Kelpies in Falkirk. This earlier work, though smaller in scale, is truly evocative of the Clydesdale heavy horse. Its flowing steel rods imply a sturdy power but also the almost delicate gentleness of these big animals. This was taken in the early morning of a bitterly cold December day with a heavy hoar frost encrusting the grass.
