Driving over to Elgol on an unpromising morning, the clouds suddenly broke and lifted in time to allow the low sun to bathe the foreground in a golden light illuminating the fence line zigzagging towards the cottages in the middle distance with the Cuillin,still dark and foreboding, looming over all.
