The remote Alltdearg house beside the Allt Dearg Mor burn near Sligachan, lies on the desolate moorland dominated by the northern edge of the Cuillin with the prominent Sgurr nan Gillean and Am Basteir. I was passing when suddenly the setting sun broke through the clouds lighting up the moorland and the hills beyond.
